I have known Mike Cahoon and Razor Construction for over a decade. Razor has done the turnkey framing on many projects for us in that decade. I have always found Mike to be a man of his word. If he tells you he will do something, then he will do it, whether it is in writing or not.
Mike has surrounded himself with extremely smart and intelligent partners and employees, not to mention that they also share Mike’s high values for integrity. Jeff Russell and Jason Sanders carry Mike’s high code of ethics, as do all of Mike’s employees.
Razor is unparalleled among framing subcontractors for the job that they do. It starts with their detailed preconstruction dissection of the plans. They try to ferret out any issues prior to beginning construction. Once they start work onsite, you’d better have enough concrete out in front of them, because they move extremely fast. While they move quickly through a job horizontally, they understand the importance of going vertical, and drying in a building quickly. In the past couple of years, I tracked their speed in getting the roof decking on the first buildings, and the last building. Their speed on all the projects they framed for us won hands down over other framing subcontractors.
An added benefit from using Razor is their job cleanliness. There is much less waste on their projects than with other framers, saving us a lot of money in waste disposal. Not to mention that the work environment is so much better with a clean project which Razor is instrumental in maintaining.
Without any reservations, it is my honor and privilege to give a five star recommendation to Razor Construction. My only regret is that I did not meet him several decades ago.
